Kineco has emerged as the flag bearer of “Make in India in Defence” for critical composite structures. This is evident by the honor received by Kineco at the hands of Hon. Raksha Mantri, Union of India, Shri Rajnath Singh and Hon. Union Minister of State for Defence, Shri. Shripad Naik, at New Delhi on the occasion of the Indian Navy Day observed on December 4, 2019, for its significant contribution to ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ in Defence.

Kineco’s business model in defence is based on benefiting from Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP), 2016 policy framework which mandated a new procurement category called as IDDM (Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured). Following this, Kineco has been a part of numerous new prestigious programs of DRDO, BARC and VSSC.

Kineco has demonstrated success in Public- Private partnerships in the ‘Make in India’ mission, through unique projects with R&D Engineers (DRDO) like development of India’s first Indigenous Sonar Dome and fully Carbon fiber reinforced light weight rapidly deployable heliportable composite bridge, composite Radome for AEWACS (Airborne Early Warning and Control System) aircrafts and fabrication & supply of Submarine Models.

Further other projects under Make in India include Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) to develop High Pressure Pyrogen Ignitor Cases for GSLV and PSLV launch vehicles.
