CARBON REINFORCED MODULAR BRIDGE

Overview:

Kineco has demonstrated immense success in Public- Private partnerships under the Make in India program, through unique projects. A case in point is Kineco partnering with DRDO to develop India’s first Indigenous Carbon fiber reinforced light weight rapid deployable, heliportable composite bridge for military and disaster management applications and built to ‘Military Load Classification’ standards for 70 tonnes load.

The first prototype of Kineco make ‘Carbon Fiber Bridge’ (Full length-15 Meters, Modular lengths 5,10, 12.5 meters) was showcased at the DEFEXPO India 2020 at Lucknow, creating yet another Make in India in Defence success story.

Product Specifications:

• ■ Dimensions (LxBXH): Each individual module of the bridge is 5 m long (two or three such modules can be assembled to form a 10 m or 15 m long bridge).


• ■ Material of construction:Carbon Fiber reinforced epoxy resin system.


• ■ Process:Vacuum assisted resin infusion with fibre optic control.


• ■ Equipment used:Advanced tailor made automatic & PLC based manufacturing and process control equipment’s.


• ■ Scope of work:
  Built-to-Print project with transfer of process technology.
  Material characterization , Purchase of material.
  Tooling, Manufacturing and Inspection.
